INGREDIENTS
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 1 T crushed garlic
- 4 T olive oil
- 1 x 800 g can whole peeled or chopped tomatoes.
- 156 g tomato paste
- 2 T Mrs Balls Chutney
- 1 T Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Tsp Mixed Dried herbs
- 500 ml water
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 Tsp chilli flakes (optional)
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
Fry the onions, garlic and herbs in olive oil over a medium heat until soft and golden. Add the tomato paste and cook out for a min or so. Add tomatoes and chutney worchestershire sauce and simmer for a few minutes.
Add the water and simmer for at least 30 minutes until thickened, stirring often. Serve with Boerewors or braaied meat and pap.
